Ingredients
600 g (1 1/3 lb) small -medium cuttlefish.
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
Ground Ingredients
5 shallots
3 cloves garlic
2 1/2 cm (1 in) turmeric root
2 1/2 cm (1 in) ginger
2 onions, sliced into rings
2 red chillies, seeded and sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
How to Prepare It
Wash cuttlefish, remove the entrails and black ink punch. Keep whole and leave the eyes intact. Rub with salt and leave aside for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a kuali and fry ground ingredients until fragrant. Put in cuttlefish and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
Add sliced onions, red chillies, salt and monosodium glutamate, Stir-fry for 2 -3 minutes.
